We Started with One Idea. Make Good Products Affordable for Every Indian Family.
It was 1999. Balasore, Odisha. A small injection moulding unit with 2 machines and a simple belief that families across India deserved better quality plastic home products at a price that made sense.
That belief became Ankur.
Twenty-eight years later, Ankur products are found in kitchens, dining rooms, bathrooms, schools, offices, and shops across 12 states. What started in one corner of Odisha has grown into one of Eastern India’s most recognised household brands, trusted by over 1,000 dealer partners and countless families who keep choosing Ankur, year after year.
We are not a brand that was built overnight. Every product in our range, every colour option, every design update has come from listening to dealers, to families, to the real people who use our products every single day. That is how we have stayed relevant for 28 years. And that is how we plan to stay relevant for the next 28.

2021-2025
- Undertook substantial manufacturing capacity expansion in Houseware, Furniture, PET Preforms, and PET Products.
- Significantly expanded product range across all segments.
- Introduced a new product category: “Sweep” (Brushes, etc.).
- Installed the largest injection moulding capacity in Odisha.
- Expanded infrastructure with 2 additional factory sheds, now totalling over 100,000 sq. ft. of factory space.
- Increased number of injection moulding machines to 23.
- Received the OASME Award for Best Medium Enterprise for 2022–23 (Bhubaneswar, 2023).
- Received the “Winner of MSME Star Stories 2024” Award (Manufacturing Sector), presented by India SME Accelerator Network (Mumbai, 2024).
- Received the National Energy Conservation Award - 2024 (New Delhi, 2024).
- Received the Odisha State Energy Conservation Award - 2024 (Bhubaneswar, 2024).
- Achieved Integrated Management System (IMS) Certification from BVQI.
- Achieved ZED Gold Certification.
- Changed status from “Private Limited” to “Limited” — now officially known as Jagdamba Polymers Limited.
2016-2020
- Continued manufacturing capacity and product range expansion.
- Launched a new thermoware product line — a first in eastern India.
- Received the National Energy Conservation Award for 2018 from the Ministry of Power, Government of India (New Delhi, 2018).
- Received the Brand of Odisha Award, Presented by Shri Navin Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha (Bhubaneswar, 2018).
- Increased number of injection moulding machines to 12.
2011-2015
- Expanded manufacturing capacity and product range in Plastic Houseware and Moulded Furniture segments.
- Introduced PET Preforms as a new product vertical.
- Installed the world’s most advanced Preform Production Line from HUSKY.
- Set up a new state-of-the-art factory at Somnathpur Industrial Area, Balasore.
- Achieved Food Safety Management System (FSMS) ISO 22000 Certification for the PET Preform plant.
- Commenced exports to international markets.
- Received the National Award - 2012 for Lean Manufacturing Techniques from the Ministry of MSME, Government of India (New Delhi, 2013).
- Received the National Energy Conservation Award for 2011 from the Ministry of Power, Government of India (New Delhi, 2011).
- Received the National Energy Conservation Award for 2013 from the Ministry of Power, Government of India (New Delhi, 2013).
- Participated in international exhibitions across multiple countries.
- Added single and double stretch blow moulding machines.
- Increased number of injection moulding machines to 8.
2005-2010
- Undertook modernization and capacity expansion with the latest technology.
- Received the National Award - 2005 for Outstanding Entrepreneur from the Ministry of MSME, Government of India (New Delhi, 2006).
- Received the National Award - 2009 for Outstanding Entrepreneurship from the Ministry of MSME, Government of India (New Delhi, 2010).
- Achieved ISO 9001:2001 Certification.
- Strengthened brand “Ankur” as one of the most popular household brands in Odisha.
1999-2004
- Established the first and largest injection moulding plant in Odisha.
- Launched brand “Ankur”, pioneering the manufacturing of plastic household products and plastic moulded furniture in Odisha.
- Started with 2 injection moulding machines.
